On Monday Class 5 spent the day at Keasden Farm learning about plants. The children enjoyed counting species of plants before dissecting a bluebell. Later in the morning they dressed as flowers and played a game to learn about pollination. The children were all good sports. After lunch we wandered down to the stream where we were using identification charts to identify the life we found in the pond. We also used pooters to catch minibeasts and identify them using sorting tree diagrams. Perhaps the highlight of the day, however, was the visit to the cowshed to see the new born calves and lambs. The weather was very kind to us and it only rained at the end of the day!
