Our first Bentham Outdoor Project (B.O.P) took place on a cold December day when Year 5 went to Ingleton Climbing Wall with Mrs Pearson and Miss Mulligan. Mrs Procter our Chair of Governors also came along. We split into two groups and whilst one group went bouldering, one group climbed using harnesses and ropes. Some of us found muscles we never knew we had and our arms soon began to ache. Mrs Pearson proved she was pretty good at belaying and kept us safe! William gave his all on the tricky bouldering wall, Augustas could be a future bouldering champion and Olivia and Taylor showed that they had a head for heights. Caitlin and Tom battled hard on the race to the top wall and Abbie was glad the mats provided a soft landing. Thank you to Anthea from Yorkshire Dales Millenium Trust, Ed and David from Inglesport and the lovely bus driver who dropped us off as close as he could so we didn't get wet.
