Cooking - Banana Bread

To kick start our topic - The Caribbean - Year 6 spent the afternoon cooking!  After a quick demonstration from Miss Pearson (who isn't very good at cooking!), we got into pairs and followed the recipe.  We had to weigh flour, sugar and butter.  We had to crack eggs (Tyler's ended up on the floor!), we had to grease and line a loaf tin and then mash up bananas.  All the loaf tins were then put in the ovens and there was a lovely smell of cooking in school.  Mrs Askew kept an eye on our masterpieces so that they didn't burn.  Meanwhile, we all washed up and tidied the classroom before Mrs Lord, the cleaner arrived!  After Praise Assembly our banana bread was ready to take home and eat whilst it was still warm. Yummy!
