NSPCC Speak Out. Stay Safe.
NSPCC volunteers came in to school to launch the ‘Speak out, stay safe’ programme. The aim of this programme is to “enable a generation of children to have the knowledge and understanding they need to stay safe from abuse and neglect.”
Assemblies were held for Key Stage One and Key Stage Two.
The children met Buddy, the ‘Speak out, stay safe’ mascot. They enjoyed interactive assemblies to help them to:
understand abuse in all its forms and recognise the signs of abuse
know how to protect themselves from all forms of abuse
know how to get help, and the sources of help available to them, including our Childline service.
The children all learnt the NSPCC telephone number.
