In our Science lessons we have been learning all about healthy eating and nutrition. In Class 3 we carried out a survey to find out what our favourite after school snack was. Our results found that lots of us chose things such as chocolate and crisps, with only 7 children picking fruit as their favourite snack. Therefore, we decided to do something about it! We searched the internet for a healthy snack alternative and after plenty of research we decided to make Museli Bars. We gathered the ingredients such as cherries, appricots, sultanas and seeds and prepared our classroom for cooking. We carefully weighed out our ingredients and did some very thorough mixing before popping them in the oven to bake. The results were fantastic, although some children could not be swayed, many of them thought that our healthy alternative was delicious!
